Gina Rae Miller Photography Christmas Story

I stumbled upon this adorable Christmas treat on Pinterest over the weekend and took some time last night making a batch for Grace’s class. It’s easy to make, simple and tells a wonderful story. You may not want to create this treat for a public school (Grace is in a Christian pre-school) but hey, I leave that up to you.

(If you’re looking for a public school-friendly, Winter-themed treat, I suggest Snowball Soup! I made these years ago and will be re-using the idea this year for Emily and Andrew’s classes).

To make the M&M Christmas Story treats,

YOU WILL NEED:

red & green M&Ms (I needed a bag and a half to make 16 of these)
clear plastic 6″ x 3.75″ treat bags (I use the Make ‘n Mold ones from the craft stores by the melting chocolates)
white cardstock
my printable bag toppers
stapler

If you click the “my printable bag toppers” above in the supply list, it will allow you to download mine! There are two bag toppers on each 8.5″ x 11″ canvas (.jpg and .pdf versions).  They print with the back attached and the whole thing is outlined in light gray. All you need to do is print, trim with a paper trimmer or scissors and then fold each topper on the light middle gray line. Finally, sandwich your bag in between both sides of the folded cardstock and staple (see above).

Enjoy!

(Here’s the poem up close since its a bit hard to read above).
