I had a fun shoot on Veteran’s Day with a brother & sister duo. We actually had the reschedule this session that was originally supposed to take place over Halloween weekend. Remember the time it snowed in October on Long Island? Yes that weekend. I am so glad we had sun this time around (not to mention tons of leaves!) Here’s a little sampling of what I’ve been working on.

Thanks again for having me over Kristen! Your completed gallery will be done soon!

Just a few sneak peeks at the adorable brother & sister I photographed on Sunday at Argyle Lake. Love this location and love these two! I photographed them last year as well. :)

Michael especially kept asking when he could act silly, so I am including this shot just for him. :)

And the swans since we spent some time just watching them after.

Thanks for being such great subjects guys!

I am extra-happy with the progress I’ve made in Photoshop in the past 24 hours. :) I have three galleries from last week completely edited with links sent to clients. I have one CD burned and ready to be delivered today. I completed a design project right under deadline. And I have this cute family’s gallery about 80% done. I love my outdoor Autumn sessions! Once I start editing them and add a little touch of that blue with a hint of golden yellow, they just feel so Fall-ish to me. Add in a few apple pictures and I’m happy. :)
This isn’t the completed set of pictures but in the interest of keeping my Blogged sessions somewhat up to date, it’s more of a mini-share. I met this adorable, well-dressed family at Argyle Lake over the weekend. The day called for rain so we just watched the weather and kept in close contact. I told Mom that overcast was actually good. We wouldn’t have to deal with many shadows. We did have light gray skies and we moved our shoot up an hour at the last minute to beat the raindrops, but they never fell. We even ended up having some sun mixed in. All in all, a beautiful albeit windy afternoon on the water!
Thanks so much for meeting with me K family. You guys are the perfect little family!

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with this adorable family. Baby Dino had just turned 8 months old and was the happiest little thing! This was a casual family shoot in the family’s own home. Mom really wanted pictures of Dino at this exact time in his life: just a little bundle of smiles, hanging out in his bedroom, laughing with Mom & Dad, etc. I think sessions like this are a beautiful idea (I wish I had some for my own family to be honest).
Thanks again for having me over K family. I hope you enjoy your photos. :)
Interested in booking a lifestyle or portrait session? E-mail me! My Summer calendar is nearly booked. Also for your convenience, I have added some “need to know” basics before we meet for our session. :)
3 brothers | long island family photographer

Over the weekend, I had a family / Communion shoot for a family I met last year through my oldest daughter. Emily and this family’s oldest son, Anthony, are in the same grade. I was excited to take Anthony’s Communion portraits and even more excited to photograph these three cute brothers together.
I have many more photos from this session so this is just a small peek. Even though I got the okay from Mom, I don’t want to post the Communion pictures and spoil how handsome Anthony looked in his suit since he didn’t receive
the sacrament or have his family party yet.

And the beautiful family of 5. How funny is the little guy’s face in the photo on the right? Awesome.

Thanks for having me over G family! Your full gallery will be up soon.

I had four shoots last week and while I can’t share much aside from a little snippet here and there from three of them (surprise Christmas photos), I can happily share this beautiful family and our outdoor shoot on a gorgeous November Saturday! This is actually my best friend’s cousin, Michelle. We were in my friend’s wedding party together in 2008 and we were both pregnant at the same time. Her oldest blond munchkin is just a few months older than my Grace. Both boys were so cute. The littlest guy was just a smiley face with lots of drool and the older one wanted to do nothing but run around and play either football, soccer or look for a basketball hoop. LOL! I have never seen such an athletic toddler before!
Meet the S family.
How cute are their sneakers? The bottom photo is one of my favorites.
Our location was pretty cool because it was Michelle’s old elementary school.
This little guy wasn’t too cray about me and my big camera that I aimed at his face probably a little more than he would have liked, but I finally got him to smile when I played peek-a-boo from behind my lens.
I hope you enjoyed your peek Michelle & family! Thanks for making the drive to the Island to see me! : )

I had a great start to my weekend when I packed my equipment and headed 28 seconds out of my way to photograph this cute family. I actually went to school with Katie but since we were in different grades, it wasn’t until our kids ended up in the same elementary school that we became friendly. This chick is a RIOT! I had a lot of fun with her crazy family on Saturday morning. (And I say crazy out of sheer love because her family reminds me a ton of my own). I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!
Firstly, how cute is this sibling picture? I completely forgot to re-size it for my Facebook sneak peek so I have to post it first and hope Mom enjoys it as much as I do. ; ) Gia is a riot. AJ is the best big brother. Two little cutie pies.

You know I’m a fan of the iPhone shot. I tried getting them both behind my phone but it was a little difficult. I thought this was cute nonetheless.

The family wanted some Christmas card shots and we ended up with some great family ones. This is one of my favorites.

I’m a big fan of my wooden letters this year. Expect to see them in many future session photos!

Oh yes. I actually broke out my mad barking skills to get Duke the family pupster to look at my camera. Isn’t he adorable?
Check out this little girl’s sass.

Mom wasn’t crazy about AJ riding his skateboard but I couldn’t wait to get some shots. I love showing kids around the things they like best at the present time. I think it makes for a great record of memory.
Thanks again for a fun session V family!
