a day of remembrance | 9.11

(pictures gathered from across the web)

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief.”

Today I spent September 11th how I always spend September 11th: Thinking of everyone who lost so much 10 years ago. Crying to video clips. And doing a little scrapping because sometimes, it’s just the right form of therapy. Proud that I am married to one of NY’s bravest every day but today especially.  I hope that today, even though this is not the happiest date in American history, you found some peace and comfort in your heart.

  • I can’t believe how painful it was to watch anything on TV yesterday and its been ten years. I was wondering if it was because I had visited Ground Zero the July after it happened.. but then a couple people I was talking with today said they felt the same way. So hard to believe that it has been ten years. Bless you and your hubby’s hearts being so close to it all. My son is a Fireman.. but in a much smaller city.. but I am very proud of him and all his buddys.

  • Even after all this time…watching and reliving that horrific day still brings back the pain and sadness but with it also come feeling of PROUDNESS and unity for all the amazing men and women that sacrifice their lives on that day and continue to do so to ensure that this country we are so blessed to live in remains Free and Great. Thank you for sharing G…and give your wonderful hubby a big hug and give him and all the brave men he works with our immense grattitude and appreciation for all that they do.
